A phonogram is a symbol representing a vocal sound.

 

This week students practices these phonograms: oy, oi, ir, ur, er

Vocabulary was generated such as “convert” and “convertible”  Students recognized that the root word of convertible is convert. They explained that convert is to transform or change so a convertible car (can be changed when you open the “roof” of the car) is the reason is called a convertible!
