Director of Counseling, College, & Career Programs
I have worked in education since 2007. I started my teaching career as a High School Business Teacher. I have been a Professional School Counselor since 2011 and have worked in both a K-12 setting, and a 7-12 setting.
Reading, singing, and watching/playing all kinds of sports!
I raised honey bees as a teenager, and I was a college cheerleader.
Every student at WSST has the potential to be successful at the college and career of their choice. I am committed to exposing students and their families to all their post secondary options, and the career opportunities that are available to them. I am also a resource to help students and families navigate the complex world of junior high and high school.
During my 4th year of teaching, a friend of mine asked me to speak to some school counselors about how career education programs, like business, helped prepare students for a successful transition to college. A week later I enrolled in my first course to complete my Masters of a Education in Counseling. I saw how passionate school counselors were, and knew that I could be that person for my students!
